Talking on the phone at times can be more meaningful than words. Although a letter provides symbolic intimacy, the resonance of the tongue pierces the heart in a way that can’t be reached solely through a recognition of simplistic pictorial configurations.

Writing contains an assumed permanence that allows for us to be significantly less present since it is not committed to memory. How can I know you understand me if you won’t listen?

Speaking provides a multidimensional depth which is registered instantly through years of evolution and understanding. It is pure with the decision of creating fictions only after one’s own thoughts are in fruition. Although both can have their faults with dishonesty, lies are less noticed when they are not spoken.

The variance between the two methods leads me to consider that spoken words although fleeting are more admirable when they can be recalled, for there is a higher likelihood of sincerity within someone’s character.
